The people who brought you HelloFax present HelloSign, free Web-based software that helps create both secure digital signatures and documents that will accept those signatures. The company hopes to make document management seamless by partnering with Box, Google Drive, and Dropbox. It also offers tracking and time-stamping via the “Audit Trail” system. And the price is right: While HelloSign says it might roll out some more robust, paid options in the future, officials say they “strongly believe that your signature should always
be free.” Free. HelloSign, San Francisco, www.hello

Your Expertise, Recognized

Real estate pros know their neighborhoods like nobody’s business (mostly because it is their business). Now, Walk Score—a company that measures walkability and hopes to raise awareness of its importance—is offering a new, free way to broadcast your expertise. Walk Score will mark users as “local experts” if they add 10 neighborhood places (with a photo and comment) to Walk Score’s site. And there are bonus points for frequent posters: Those with the most places in
one area will be featured on Walk Score’s city and neighborhood pages.
Walk Score explains how to add a place and offers examples of how real estate professionals have created custom walking tours on their blog.

Your Neighborhood at Your Fingertips

Where can you find today’s weather forecast, a killer brunch place near you, and the average age of your neighbors? The nonprofit Sunlight Foundation is behind a new hyperlocal app, which connects you in seconds with unbiased, public data about your neighborhood. With Sitegeist, you’ll access demographics, average rent, local hot spots, and commute times that you can relay to prospects or use in target marketing campaigns. The app’s clean interface has earned its developers kudos, and real estate pros will love that housing gets its own panel of information. Free. Sunlight Foundation, Washington, D.C.,
