Key feature: Mimics Victorian-era storm windows used by architects involved in Rebuilding Together Boston initiative.   
Pros: Wood trims makes panel more authentic and aesthetically pleasing, particularly in older homes.
Cons: Expensive. A half panel starts at $400 and a full panel can set you back as much as $1,000. "It's only for the purist," says Ryan Pirro, owner of Restoration Windows in Concord, Mass. "It's a hard sell."
Upkeep: Remove and replace panels seasonally.
