When disaster strikes, REALTORS® mobilize to bring relief to communities.

All over the country—and the world—REALTORS® have demonstrated the “Power of R” through their compassionate efforts to help during trying times. These are just a few examples of recent disasters where REALTORS® made a difference.

Total amount of disaster relief funds the REALTORS® Relief Foundation has raised since its inception in 2001: $26M.

Fired Up to Support Local Heroes

New Mexico, June–August 2011

More than 150,000 acres burned in the Las Conchas fire, consuming countless homes and causing the evacuation of several towns. Members of the Los Alamos Association of REALTORS®, including Denise Lane, an agent with RE/MAX of Los Alamos, volunteered to feed firefighters as they battled the blaze.

All for Moore After Twister

Moore, Okla., May 2013

The EF5 tornado that nearly flattened parts of Moore, Okla., grabbed national headlines. The Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® sprang into action, taking truckloads of emergency supplies into the devastated town.

The Epicenter of Compassion

In May 2011, Carolyn Watson, GREEN, GRI, of Coldwell Banker Conroy, Marable & Holleman in Clarksville, Tenn., traveled to Japan after the 2011 earthquake to help save usable classroom materials from leveled schools.
