Agent Markets Clients Doing the ‘Happy Dance’

Buying a home just makes you want to dance—at least it does for Florida real estate pro Jodi Avery and her clients. She and her home buyers make a point to do the “Happy Dance” after settlement. Avery then posts the 10-second jigs on her social media accounts.

It’s only fitting that she shares her love for dancing with her clients this week, too. National Dance Day is on July 29.

For the past four years, Avery, a sales associate with Keller Williams Pearl Harbor in Clearwater, Fla., has been garnering social media attention for her videos of she and her clients doing a 10-second jig after closing.

“Clients of all ages jump, shake, and shimmy with me at their closings,” Avery says.

Avery confesses she’s not really a good dancer. But she says she’s willing to do it if it’ll put a smile on her clients’ faces.

“It’s not as much about dancing as it is about coming together to celebrate one of the largest purchases a person makes,” Avery says. “Dancing puts a smile on your face and makes everyone happy.”

National Dance Day, launched in 2010, encourages Americans to embrace a love for dancing while maintaining healthy lifestyles and fighting obesity.
