Keller Williams, Placester Develop Agent Tools

Keller Williams announced what it is calling an “innovation partnership” with Placester, a real estate website and marketing platform, to co-develop the next version of the franchise’s lead-to-close agent business solution, eEdge.

“We’re excited to announce a major joint endeavor with Placester, which will be matching their technical might with our vision,” says Chris Heller, CEO, Keller Williams.  “Five years ago, we pioneered and carved out an entirely new industry space with eEdge. Now we’re disrupting ourselves again in the best interests of our agents.”

The eEdge business solution first launched in 2011. The next evolution of eEdge – which is still unnamed -- will include lead management, contact management, a marketing library, and a paperless transaction system, according to a news release. The new platform – which will use Placester’s infrastructure and team of software architects and engineers -- is to better serve agents through the entire real estate transaction.

The new platform will be available exclusively to Keller Williams agents. It is slated for beta testing in the fourth quarter.

“The development of our next agent business solution is fueled entirely from data-driven insights drawn from our agents and consumers,” says Josh Team, CIO, Keller Williams. “Working closely with Placester, we are building a suite of tools to empower our agents to fill the gaps in today’s consumer experience when purchasing or selling a home.”

Last year, Keller Williams had announced that Placester would provide websites and marketing tools to the company’s brokerages. New websites are set to roll out in phases beginning next month, the company announced.
