'Accuracy Matters' in Listing Ads, Realtor.com® Says in Campaign

Realtor.com® has rolled out a national advertising campaign to educate consumers about the importance of accuracy in residential listings. Its campaign, “Accuracy Matters,” features two 30-second commercials that aim to raise awareness about out-of-date listings on competitor websites.

The ads, which will be featured nationally throughout the year on television and online, show home buyers looking for homes using inaccurate real estate search applications versus realtor.com® mobile apps. Realtor.com® has teamed up with the National Association of REALTORS® for another ad to be released later this year that will also aim to educate consumers about how the accuracy of residential listings can prompt a faster, less stressful home search.

“There’s nothing more irritating than finding a home you love during your search and learning that it has recently been taken off the market or that the price has been updated,” says Barbara O’Connor, chief marketing office for Move Inc., which operates realtor.com®.

O’Connor points to the accuracy of listing ads displayed on realtor.com® since realtor.com® has a direct relationship with more than 800 multiple listing services across the country.
