Judge Your Popularity: Google+ Adds Page Views to Profiles

You can now see how many times your publicly available Google+ content has been viewed. Google has started to display the number of page and profile views on Google+ profiles. You can view the count below your follower count underneath your profile photo.

The number reflects the total number of views of your posts, photos, and profile since October 2012.

The new feature is automatically included on Google+ pages. For those who want to hide their count, you can disable it from your account settings by unchecking a box labeled “Show how many times your profile and content have been viewed.”

“The move seems to be a step in the right direction, as it would not only let people gauge their popularity, but would also help brands build better marketing strategies,” according to an article at TechSpot about the new feature.

In October 2013, Google had started displaying view counts on Google+ photos and recently had announced the availability of Google Analytics stats from your Google+ dashboard.
