Predictive Analytics Provider Joins REach™

The National Association of REALTORS® kicked off the 2014 class of REach™ with SmartZip Analytics, a company that provides real estate analytics and predictive marketing to agents. SmartZip is the first company to join NAR's strategic growth technology accelerator this year.

NAR's REach™ program was founded and managed by NAR’s investment arm, Second Century Ventures to provide a platform from which successful technology companies can launch into the real estate vertical.

“The seven companies in last year’s REach™ class experienced growth rates ranging from 100 to 2000 percent and collectively raised about $10 million as a result of their success in the program,” says NAR Vice President of Strategic Investments and REach™ Managing Director Constance Freedman. “Innovation in this industry is growing—more than $2 billion were invested into real estate related technology companies last year alone... SmartZip exemplifies the kind of company we want as part of REach™ because its technology offers strategic benefits to the real estate industry and can easily be expanded.”

SmartZip helps real estate professionals determine where to target their efforts. The company's combination of big data and analytics help real estate agents more efficiently grow their listings business. SmartZip's flagship product, SmartTargeting, integrates predictive analytics with online, social, and offline marketing so agents and brokers can focus on homeowners who are most likely to sell their home.

REach™ accepts companies at all stages of growth that wish to address the real estate ecosystem.  The accelerator selects six to 10 companies per year, and will continue to accept applications at its website through March 21, 2014.
