Microsoft Adds DocuSign's eSignature to Office 365

DocuSign and Microsoft Corp. have announced a partnership to make DocuSign’s eSignature apps available within Microsoft Office 365. The new feature will allow for submitting and signing documents without leaving Microsoft applications.

DocuSign’s Digital Transaction Management apps for Microsoft 365 will be available in early March.

“This partnership with DocuSign helps our customers keep transactions digital and manage eSignatures seamlessly from within Office 365, where they already communicate, collaborate, and create,” says John Case, vice president of marketing at Microsoft Office.

The new feature will include integration within Microsoft Outlook, Word, SharePoint Online, and SharePoint Server 2013. DocuSign also has added Windows Azure Active Directory to provide single sign-on capabilities with Office 365 credentials for managing accounts. It will also automatically store all DocuSign documents in Microsoft OneDrive for Business.

“We’re excited about the momentum behind Office 365 and customers making the transition from their traditional Office applications to all-new scenarios enabled by cloud services,” says Keith Krach, chairman and CEO of DocuSign. “We believe Office 365 customers of all sizes will appreciate the seamless availability of DocuSign integrated into the applications they use every day. The combination of Microsoft and DocuSign further helps organizations keep business digital and leverages the power of the cloud to help them focus on business results.”
