Obama Takes on Consumers' Housing Questions

President Barack Obama assured Americans on Wednesday that keeping the housing recovery on track is a top priority for his administration.

"The real economy is directly related to the housing market," he said in an online forum where he answered consumers' housing questions. "Keeping the overall economy moving in the right direction means that there’s a stronger market for homes."

The forum was hosted by Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff and live-streamed on the White House's Web site. Consumers asked Obama about topics ranging from the Home Affordable Refinance Program to the effects of student debt on housing. Obama offered no new policies but came ready with some answers.
