Freddie Mac Posts a Profit
Freddie Mac posted second-quarter net income of $1.2 billion, marking its first profitable period since early 2011.
The firm is not requesting additional federal aid for the period.
Net income attributable to common shareholders amounted to 37 cents per share from April to June compared to a loss of $3.76 billion, or $1.16 per share, a year earlier.
