Dream Enabler

As a young girl, Ruth Henriquez-Campos was already translating for Latino families that had just arrived to the United States. Fifteen years later, while working at a real estate office that wan't particularly well-equipped to serve her Latino community, Henriquez-Campos saw a need—and an opportunity. She obtained her broker's license and is now part of one on the fastest-growing real estate franchises in the nation. She has successfully adapted her business model to gain expertise in short sales and REO properties.

Paying It Forward

This Marymount University alumna gives back to her community by teaching seminars on sustainable homeownership and conducting pre-foreclosure clinics. When you see a need, you don't walk away from it. You don't turn around," she says. "Those people will remember you. They'll bring business to you later." She also hosts a one-hour local radio show on an area Hispanic-language station, educating listeners on financial management and the latest in today's real estate market.

Live By the Code

Understand your obligations under the REALTORS® Code of Ethics. "You must understand that your clients are your principal, and you must serve them well," says Henrique-Campos.
