I found that many agents view negotiations as battles rather than mutual collaborations. I find it very challenging to work with an agent who would rather fight and win than collaborate to create a smooth transaction for our clients. I think part of the issue is that we have lost that relationship-building mentality. We often fail to meet with our co-agents until the day of closing. If I could change one thing about the real estate industry, I would promote more frequent face-to-face collaboration between agents in order to build stronger relationships for our clients.
