"Growing up, I took an active role in our local Pony Club chapter. Through the years I took more leadership roles and acted as a mentor to the younger children. Riding English and competing also gave me a competitive edge at a young age. My parents would say, ‘Just do your best!’ That was never enough for me. To this day, I can’t settle for second place. I learned if I worked hard enough, I could achieve anything I wanted. I also learned to do it right the first time."
